OECD reports increase in EU’s Official Development Assistance

Figures unveiled by the OECD on 11 April 2017 showed that the European Union and its member states consolidated their place as the world's leading aid donor in 2016.

The Official Development Assistance (ODA) provided by the EU reached €75.5 billion in 2016, constituting an 11% increase compared to the previous year. It was the fourth year in a row which saw EU's assistance grow, reaching its highest level to date.
