The Scottish Parliament's European Committee published a report Determining Scotland’s future relationship with the European Union in March 2017.

The Members of the Scotland Parliament on the Committee called for a bespoke solution on Brexit that reflected Scotland’s majority vote to remain in the single market to be explored with the ‘EU 27’ in negotiations before and after the UK Government triggered Article 50.

The report refered to a variety of alternative arrangements for territories that were already part of current Member States and said a bespoke solution could be found within the EU to accommodate Scotland.
