Future prospects for international trade in agriculture following the reform of the CAP and the conclusion of the Uruguay Round

On the 11 October 1994, a European Commissionner made a speech about the Agricultural Trade and the reform of the CAP.

In this speech he reminded that agriculture is a very important sector for Europe, and one that is both dynamic and open.

He also outline the main reform of the CAP due to the Uruguay Round. For instance, the European Union would try to point out environmental objectives for farmers.
