Remarks by Federica Mogherini at the press point following the meeting with Bill Gates

On the 16 February 2017, the High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini met Bill Gates in Brussels.

During the meeting, they spoke about the work of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in favour of Sustainable Development and against poverty. They also spoke about the role of the European Union in the Humanitarian Aid.

After the meeting, Frederica Mogherini made remarks. She reminded that the European Union shared with the Gates Foundation the same attitude: focus on cooperation and partnership and focus on improving peoples’ lives.
