Separately, the Children Young People and Education Committee of the National Assembly for Wales (NAW) launched an inquiry in 2017 called Impact of Brexit on Higher and Further Education.Life Long Learning Minister for Wales, Eluned Morgan, told an audience of FE leaders in Newport on the 6 June 2018 that Further Education (FE) Institutes in Wales mustn’t lose a penny because of Brexit.

The Welsh Government wanted guarantees from Whitehall that EU funding would be replaced after the UK left the EU and for decisions on how it was invested to continue to be made in Wales.

The Welsh Government also called for the UK to participate in a range of European co-operation programmes after Brexit including ERASMUS+
