Remarks by HRVP Mogherini following her meeting with Mr Saad Hariri, Prime Minister of Lebanon

On the 26 January 2017, Frederica Mogherini was received by the Prime Minister of Lebanon, Saad Hariri.

During this meeting, she underlined the strong support of the European Union to make sure that this new political and institutional environment in Lebanon gets all the support it deserves and it needs. She underlined this support in the economic development of Lebanon and in the welcoming of Syrian refugees.
During this meeting, they also intended to strenghen the cooperation between the two institutions in many differents fields.
