This is a press release concerning the EUs attempt to improve car rental companies treatment of consumers, by producing a set of guidelines for car rental companies to follow. This was due to an increase of complaints of the car rental sector received by the EEC (European Economic Community) from the 2010 to 2016 period. To improve this situation the EU Commissioner for Justice has worked with rental companies to create the guidelines, which include: key rental services description in plain language and clear information on insurance.
