Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council, 8 December 2016

A meeting of the Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council was held on 8 December 2016. The agenda includes the following topics:

+ Discussion on the progress regarding the posting of workers directive and on the accessibility directive;

+ Debate on the European pillar for social rights;

+ Exchange of views on the European Semester 2017, following its launch by the European Commission;

+ Adoption of conclusions regarding the implementation of the Youth Guarantee and the Youth employment initiative, on accelerating the process of Roma integration and on women and poverty;

+ Agreement on revised regulations for Eurofound, EU-OSHA and Cedefop;

+ Exchange of views on the public health related part of the Annual Growth Survey 2017;

+ Information on the European Reference Networks (ERNs), being set up in 2017 to pool the expertise of healthcare specialists throughout the EU.
