Joint Statement on the New Safe Confinement at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant

Upon the occasion of the installation of the New Safe Confinement above Unit 4 of the Chornobyl nuclear power plant, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign and Security Policy/Vice-President of the Commission, Federica Mogherini, the Vice-President for Energy Union, Maroš Šefčovič, the Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn, the Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development, Neven Mimica and the Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy, Miguel Arias Cañete made a statement on 26 November 2016.
