Remarks by HRVP Mogherini on the situation in the West Bank, including settlements at the plenary session of the European Parliament

On the 22 November 2016, the High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini did remarks on the situation in the West Bank.

During the speech, she insured that the European Union pursue the two-state solution between Israel and Palestine. The one-state reality which will only lead to further conflict and instability at a time when the Middle East needs all the stability it can get.

The European Union wanted to help find a new path to successful final status negotiations. It wanted to rebuild the conditions for a peace process that can bring results, as I said several times in this House, not a process for the sake of a process.
