Stopping CETA and TTIP will not stop globalisation

Abstract:

Beyond the debate raised by CETA and now by the victory of Donald Trump in the US Presidential Election in November 2016, a critic of free trade agreements, Elvire Fabry, Senior Researcher at the Jacques Delors Institute, calls for the analysis of new changes in the globalisation process to better understand the fears they inspire.

This Tribune focuses on two points:

+ The reality of regulatory cooperation in CETA, in order to take an accurate measure of the impact of the agreement.
+ A better anticipation of the new changes in the globalisation process, to deploy an arsenal of accompanying policies in response to these changes.
