25th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s independence

On the 18 October 2016, The European Union congratulated the Republic of Azerbaijan and its people on the 25th anniversary of the restoration of the independence of their state.

The European Union announced that it will continue to cooperate closely with Azerbaijan in support of developing strong democratic institutions, the rule of law, and economic prosperity for the benefit of all Azerbaijanis.
