European Commission imposes anti-dumping duties on Chinese steel products

On 7 October 2016, the European Commission decided to impose temporary anti-dumping duties on imports of two steel products from China, in a quick reaction to unfair competition, making full use of the instruments available in the EU anti-dumping legislation.

It was essential for China to accept to set up a mechanism to control over-capacity and that the Global Forum on steel excess capacity, wich had been agreed at the last G20 summit, became a reality, to increase information sharing and cooperation at global level.
