Germany to restrict unemployment benefits for EU migrants

Media reports in Germany unveiled that the German government was working on further restricting unemployment benefits for EU citizens. Under this proposal, jobless EU citizens would receive support only after they had lived in the country for five years.

The German cabinet approved the proposal on 12 October 2016.
