On the 7 September 2016, the Court of Justice of the European Union concluded, that since it delayed implementing the EU law relating to waste, Greece is ordered to pay a lump sum of €10 million and a penalty payment of €30 000 per day of delay . The Court had already held that Greece had failed to fulfill its obligations in a judgment in 2009. |
