On the 23 August 2016, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy / Vice-President of the European Commission, Federica Mogherini and Johannes Hahn, the Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, released statement on the adoption of Coordination Mechanism by Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Coordination Mechanism is aiming at improving the country's policy coordination and implementation and will be taken into account when considering Bosnia and Herzegovina's application for EU membership.
