On the 20 August 2016, the European Union released a statement on the occasion of the release on parole of the Kazakh activist Vladimir Kozlov. At the same time, the European Union also brought forward the need for further cooperation in the protection of human rights and thus reminded Kazakhstan its commitment in the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement. |
