Poland's parliament adopted on 22 July 2016 a resolution declaring 11 July a National Day of Remembrance of Victims of Genocide perpetrated by Ukrainian nationalists against Poles during the World War II. Ukraine refused to recognise the crime as genocide and its president expressed his 'regret' over the decision, warning it could be used against his country. |
