On the 14 July 2016, the European Commission proposed amendments to the European Venture Capital Funds (EuVECA) and the European Social Entrepreneurship Funds (EuSEF) regulations.

This proposal aims to boost investment into venture capital and make it easier to invest in small and medium-sized innovative companies.

These measurements are parts of the Capital Markets Union and are also linked with the Investment Plan for Europe.
