Farage quits as UKIP leader, saying ‘my ambition is achieved’

Nigel Farage, MEP, said on the 4 July 2016 that he was standing down as leader of the UK Independence Party (UKIP).
He said that his 'political ambition has been achieved' with the UK having voted in its EU referendum on the 23 June 2016 to leave the EU.
