Investment Plan for Europe: European Fund for Strategic Investments to be extended following successful first year

Eighteen months after President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker launched the Investment Plan for Europe, and a year after the start of the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI), the European Commission took stock of achievements to date. On 1 June 2016 the Commission shared the lessons learned and made clear proposals for an ambitious future of the EFSI.

The plan was also debated in the European Parliament's plenary session.
