Transport, Telecommunications and Energy Council, 26 May 2016

A meeting of the Transport, Telecommunications and Energy Council was held in Brussels on 26 May 2016. The agenda included the following items:

+ Adoption of its position regarding a proposal on the use of ultra-high frequency (UHF) band (470-790 MHz) in the European Union;

+ Debate on the review of the EU telecoms rules, ahead of a proposal to be put forward by the European Commission as part of its Digital Single Market strategy;

+ Debate between telecommunications and competitiveness ministers on horizontal and strategic issues of the digital single market strategy.
