Human trafficking: MEPs call on EU member states to protect victims better

The European Parliament's plenary session approved on 12 May 2016 a resolution urging member states to do more to protect victims of human trafficking, especially women, and to take gender-specific prevention, assistance and support measures to help them.

The text points out that EU legislation to protect victims of trafficking was not being properly enforced.
