Press Release: Commissioner Mimica visits Senegal

The European Commissioner responsible for International Cooperation and Development, Neven Mimica, went to Senegal on 26 April 2016 for the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the African, Caribbean and Pacific countries (ACP) and the European Union, which was held in Dakar on 28 and 29 April 2016.

The summit marked the beginning of discussions and work in preparation for negotiations on the possible continuation of these relations after 2020, when the a greement regulating relations between the two parties expires.
