Press Release: Overcoming crises, rapid recovery: Parliament’s EU budget priorities for 2017

The European Parliament's plenary session approved a resolution on 9 March 2016 regarding what they considered to be the priorities for the European Union's budget for 2017.

MEPs argued that the EU should continue tackling the migration and refugee crisis while at the same time investing more and better to accelerate the slow pace of economic recovery. They also highlighted the problems of long-term and youth unemployment and disparities in economic development across the EU.
