Meeting: Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council, 7 March 2016

A meeting of the Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council took place on 7 March 2016, in Brussels. The agenda included the following topics:

+ Policy debate on the 2016 European Semester, guided by a contribution from the employment committee (EMCO) on labour market segmentation and contractual arrangements;

+ Adoption of a joint employment report as well as conclusions dealing with this report and the Annual Growth Survey;

+ Adoption of a general approach on a decision on the employment guidelines of the member states;

+ Policy debate on the new skills agenda to be submitted by the European Commission;

+ Update on the progress regarding the labour mobility package;

+ Adoption of a message regarding the implementation of the youth guarantee scheme;

+ Update on the latest developments regarding the relaunch of the social dialogue at a European level;

+ Adoption of conclusions on gender and LGBTI equality.
