Greece's prime minister Alexis Tsipras unveiled on 14 February 2016 that the conclusion of the first progress review of the third agreement between the country and its creditors was being held up by disagreements between the European Union and the International Monetary Fund.

The talks held earlier between Greece and the creditors had been inconclusive, with further discussions planned. The government had sent its pensions reform plan in January 2016, sparking protests in Greece.
