Press Release: Trade secrets: EP/Council deal backed by Legal Affairs Committee

The European Parliament's legal affairs committee endorsed on 28 January 2016 the informal agreement between the chamber and the Council of the European Union on new rules to help firms win legal redress against theft or misuse of their trade secrets.

The deal had been reached in December 2015. The vote was confirmed by the European Parliament's plenary session on 14 April 2016.
