The European Court of Human Rights unveiled on 12 January 2016 its judgement regarding the case of Szabó and Vissi v. Hungary (application no. 37138/14). The case concerns Hungarian legislation on secret anti-terrorist surveillance introduced in 2011.

The Court decided that there had been a violaition of Article 8 (respect for private and family life, the home and correspondence) and no violation of Article 13 (right to an effective remedy) of the European Convention on Human Rights.
