Press Release: Parliament calls for closer EU-China cooperation on global challenges

The European Parliament approved a resolution on 16 December 2015 calling for closer work between China and the European Union to tackle global challenges and threates, such as terrorism, illegal migration, security, climate change and global financial and market governance.

The chamber called for talks to be accelerated on a new partnership and cooperation agreement 'based on trust, transparency and respect for human rights.'
