The United Kingdom Government set out the case on the 26 November 2015 for why it believed it was in the UK’s national interest to sign up to the EU-wide Prüm agreement - for the rapid and efficient sharing of DNA, fingerprint and vehicle information, to identify foreign criminals, solve serious crimes and protect the public. On 8 December 2015 the House of Commons was due to debate and vote on the Government's recommendation. The House of Commons European Scrutiny Committee published a report to inform that debate on the 4 December 2015. |
