Press Release: Government sets out case for joining Prüm

The United Kingdom Government set out the case on the 26 November 2015 for why it believed it was in the UK’s national interest to sign up to the EU-wide Prüm agreement - for the rapid and efficient sharing of DNA, fingerprint and vehicle information, to identify foreign criminals, solve serious crimes and protect the public.

On 8 December 2015 the House of Commons was due to debate and vote on the Government's recommendation. The House of Commons European Scrutiny Committee published a report to inform that debate on the 4 December 2015.
