Press Release: State aid: Commission opens in-depth investigations into French plans to remunerate electricity capacity

On 13 November 2015, the European Commission opened two separate in-depth investigations to assess whether French plans for a country-wide capacity mechanism and a tender for a new gas-fired power plant in Brittany are in line with EU State aid rules.
