The European Parliament's special committee on tax rulings approved a report on 26 October 2015 recommending measures to make corporate taxes in the European Union fairer and more transparent.

The conclusions of the report followed eight months of fact finding. MEPs based their recommendations on the principle that multinational companies should pay their taxes where they make their profits.

Multinationals would reportedly have a last chance to contribute to the committee's work on 16 November 2015, after previously refusing to do so. The parliament was expected to vote in plenary on the report later in the month.
