The European Parliament's budget committee approved on 29 September 2015 a total of over €14.6 million from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) to help more than 7,300 workers made redundant in Belgium, Germany and Italy by three firms get back on to the job market. This EGF aid still was approved in plenary by the parliament on 6 October 2015. It still needed to be accepted by the Council of the European Union before adoption. |
