Press Release: Budgetary control MEPs reject Council accounts for 2013

The European Parliament's budgetary control committee defended on 22 September 2015 the chamber should not endorse spending by the European Council and the Council of the European Union for 2013 because they had failed to provide the information and documents requested.

The EP had refused the Council's accounts every year since 2009. The plenary was scheduled to vote on these reports by the committee in October 2015.
