Credit ratings agency Standard & Poor's reported on 03 August 2015 it had changed the European Union's outlook from stable to negative, following the EU's support to Greece and Britain's decision to vote on leaving the organisation.

The decision means the ratings agency could lower its grade of the European Union, which was lowered to AA+ in 2015, at any point in following two years.
