Cardiologists call for new limits to ‘bad cholesterol’

During the congress of the European Society of Cardiology, which took place in London on 29 August-5 September 2015, researchers called for lowering the official recommended threshold for bad cholesterol, arguing new drugs now make it possible to go below the currently accepted limit.

The congress focused on how to improve patient care by communicating significant advances in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease.
