Jeb Bush launches European tour with speech to Merkel’s party

Jeb Bush called for closer trade and security ties with Europe on 9 June 2015 in a speech in Germany, the first stop on a five-day tour designed to prove his foreign policy credentials before announcing his run for the presidency.

Mr Bush's European trip, which was also scheduled to stop in Poland and Estonia, came just before he launched his candidacy for the Republican presidential nomination on 15 June 2015.
