EUObserver published an article on 21 May 2015 concerning a change of procedure concerning the way the European Central Bank gives copies of its speeches to the media in advance.

From 20 May 2015, everyone was going to see these documents at the same time on its website or hear them at the same time if they go to a public event. Up until then, the ECB sent speeches to select journalists from the 19 eurozone states one hour before publication under embargo.

However, privy briefings for business chiefs would still go on.
