The 2015 Charlemagne Prize was awarded to Martin Shulz, President of the European Parliament.

At a ceremony in the Germany city of Aachen on 13 May 2015, Mr Schulz was presented with the International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen. The prize is awarded for 'work done in the service of European unification,' according to the award's website.
