Press Release: Investor-state dispute settlement proposals debated with Commissioner Malmström

The European Parliament's trade committee held a debate with EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström on 6 May 2015, in which they discussed the proposal for a 'reformed system' to resolve dispute foreign investors and states in the Transatlantic Trade and investment partnership (TTIP) deal, currently being negotiated between the EU and the United states.

According to EurActiv, a senior US official rejected on 11 May 2015 the proposal to create an international investment court to resolve the ISDS dispute.
