Informal Ministerial meeting with Southern ENP partners

An Informal Ministerial meeting on the future of European Neighbourhood Policy, jointly hosted by the European Union, including the Latvian Presidency of the EU Council, and Spain, attended by Ministers for Foreign Affairs both from the EU and the ENP partner countries, took place on the 13 April 2015 in Barcelona.

Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, the Palestinian Authority and Tunisia were represented at the meeting.

At the meeting Spanish Premier Mariano Rajoy called for increased cooperation between Europe, North Africa and the Middle East to deal with the rising threats of illegal immigration and terrorism.
