This second edition of the Yearbook of European Security (YES) builds on the experience of the first edition in 2013 while enriching the contents by including a more comprehensive survey of the EU ‘toolbox’ as well as a more targeted analysis of European defence spending. The 2014 ‘mapping’ exercise is devoted to identifying and assessing the changes and developments that have occurred in three ‘signature’ countries of the so-called ‘Arab Spring’. And, finally, YES 2014 also includes a summary report of the Institute’s own activities over the past year. YES is an indispensable publication that aims to inform experts, academics, practitioners and, more generally, all those wishing to know more about the EU and security-related matters through innovative, evidence-based analysis and the display of crucial facts and figures |
