Scotland to become independent ‘within 20 years’, says Salmond

Alex Salmond, Scotland's National Party outgoing leader, considered on 2 November 2014 that Scotland with would break away from the United Kingdom within 20 years.

The statement followed a poll released on the day before which showed that a majority of voters would back Scottish independence if another referendum were held.
