European Territorial Co-operation Scoping Study

This exploratory study (rather than a formal evaluation) examines the experiences of organisations in Wales that have had an involvement in European Territorial Co-operation (‘ETC’) activity.

The study also identified barriers that may have prevented other organisations from participating in the ETC Programmes or the transnational element of the mainstream ESF and ERDF Programmes.

The fieldwork involved a telephone survey and qualitative research with organisations with and without experience of the ETC Programmes.

The study provides evidence for the development of European Territorial Co-operation in the new round of Structural Funds Programmes.
