Press Release: Declaration by the High Representative on behalf of the EU following the execution of Ms. Reyhane Jabbari in Iran

On 29 October 2014, the High Representative of the European Union issued a declaration concerning the execution of Ms. Reyhane Jabbari in Iran.

The European Union expressed its deep concern regarding the increasing number of executions in Iran and reiterated its strong opposition to the death penalty which is cruel and inhumane, as well as irreversible.
