Bieńkowska: ‘Let’s get Europe back to work!’

Elżbieta Bieńkowska, the Polish Commissioner-candidate for the Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, had her confirmation hearing at the European Parliament on 2 October 2014.

Mrs Bienkowska defended EU plans to be more business-friendly on healthcare. The Commmissioner, is to take over the single market portfolio, will, in a restructuring, also take charge of healthcare technology and pharmaceuticals as well as co-running the European Medicines Agency, which authorises new drugs.
