Macedonia (FYROM) has embarked on a major revamp of its capital city, Skopje. But the changes have been controversial with some calling the makeover a 'crime'.

Skopje 2014 is a controversial state-sponsored attempted by the government in Macedonia (FYROM) to create national identity by the building of statutes and other urban renewal projects in the capital of the country.
