Statement: World Refugee Day: time for solidarity

On 20 June 2014, the European Commissioner for International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response, Kristalina Georgieva, the European Commissioner for Development, Andris Piebalgs and the European Commissioner for Home Affairs Cecilia Malmström made the statement on the occasion of the World Refugee Day.

On this day she calls on reminding the European values, especially the solidarity we must show to the less fortunate. Millions of people around the world can continue to count on our help to survive and live with dignity.
