Anger as Portugal marks 40 years of democracy

Report of the 40th anniversary of the 'Carnation Revolution' in Portugal on the 25 April 2014 marking the return of democracy.

In addition to the official celebrations, there were protests over the austerity measures of 2011 imposed by the international Troika (European Commission, European central Bank and International Monetary Fund).
